Shea has been collaborating with Michelle Coltrane, daughter of John and Alice Coltrane, for well over a decade as musical director for her live band. He co-wrote four songs and produced and played on seven tracks from Michelle Coltrane’s Blujazz recording Awakening.  They have toured all over the world, performing at The Panama Jazz Festival, Cannes France, The John Coltrane Festival in North Carolina, The South Bend Indiana Jazz Festival, The Miami Beach Jazz Festival and Yoshi's Jazz Club in Oakland, CA.
